No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome at First Presbyterian Church, Danvers Campus! We are a community of believers that extends love and grace, just as it has been extended to us. Our mission as a church is to make “More People, More like Christ.”
What is your service like?
Our Sunday morning worship service includes a comfortable combination of contemporary and traditional elements, including praise songs, hymns, scripture readings, prayer, and Bible-based preaching. We also take an offering, but do not expect any donations from visitors. The service starts at 10:15 AM. Click here for a sample bulletin.
What should I wear?
We have no stated or implied dress code. You’ll see people dressed in a wide range of clothing, from jeans to dress clothes. Wear whatever makes you the most comfortable. We are a congregation of all ages and styles.
How often do you take Communion?
We serve communion on the first Sunday of every month. Anyone who professes a personal faith in Jesus Christ is welcome to participate in this holy sacrament. After communion we take a second offering for the “work of our Deacons”, who provide assistance to people in our congregation and the surrounding community that have immediate financial and physical needs.
What about my children?
Children are welcome and encouraged to stay with you during our worship service. If you prefer,
we also offer full Nursery Care during the worship service for children 0 through 4 years old. You’ll get a pager when you drop your children off so that nursery workers can contact you if your children need your attention.
How do I get connected?
At FPC, we value community. We try to provide many ways for you to connect with others in our church. You’ll hear about a lot of these opportunities from the pulpit on Sunday morning, as well as in the Sunday Bulletin. Be sure to say hello to Pastor Derek or Pastor Greg when you visit, and feel free to ask questions of our greeters.
We also encourage you to visit the Connect section of our website to see weekly opportunities to connect with other members of our fellowship, whether here in Danvers or at our other campus in Ipswich. We look forward to getting to know you!
