FPC seeks to know and meet the particular needs of our local communities.
In Acts 1:8 Jesus commanded his disciples, “you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in Judea, in Samaria and to the ends of the earth.” Jesus described for his disciples how their ministry would expand outward in concentric circles, beginning in their own neighborhoods. The same should be true for us today. As we pray for God’s Kingdom to advance on the North Shore and in all the world, let’s not forget our own neighborhoods.
We currently support the following local organizations with finances and other resources:
Dedicated to providing short term housing and case management for homeless families on the North Shore.
Focused on serving the needs of minors who are imprisoned or recently released from prison. FPC teams conduct Bible Studies and discussion groups at facilities in Middleton.
A sanctuary for those who have been rescued out of high control destructive groups or cults.
Serving the needs of college students at Salem State University, Endicott College, and Montserrat College of Art.
A safe home for domestic women (most of whom are from New England) who have been rescued from sex trafficking.
In addition to supporting these organizations, we periodically organize “FPC Serves” days when we mobilize groups to perform a variety of community service activities.
